but we have a wealth of experience and access to either information or connection to
potentially helpful people, such as
- current and ex parliamentary representatives
- mayors
- company leaders
- experts
- business consultants
- headhunters

- all kinds of service providers
What is your need? What do you want to do? Do
you need a government or EU subsidy to successfully enter the EU? We know people who
can help you. Feel free to ask, it doesn't cost
you anything. If we can help you, we will
negotiate a reasonable compensation for our work. If we can't, we will honestly tell
you so and you will have no expenses. We already helped a number of local companies
to build lucrative business partnerships with companies in other countries. Why not
do it the other way around? Can you afford not to be present in the EU as a
manufacturer, established distributor or investor?
FAQ
Q: Why is
it better to enter such a new EU member state as Hungary or Romania?
A: Because
often these states can provide higher amounts of subsidies (both national and EU) and labor costs
are still much lower than in such older member
states as Germany, Italy or France. The cost of salaries is still about a quarter or
a third or half (depending on job categories) than in old member states. The country
has a pool of professionals, skilled and semi-skilled workers.
Q: What is
the advantage of starting up a business in Mako or one of the neighboring towns or
villages?
A: Mako is
very close to both the Romanian and Serbian borders, which means very easy access to these
countries. But there is a direct highway connection to Budapest and international
destinations as well. There are reliable shipping companies and lots of skilled,
semi-skilled and unskilled people available. As Hungary integrates into the European
Union, it emerges as a logistic center, thus this is the right place to be if you want to
succeed.
Q: How
risky is it to invest in Hungary?
A: It is
not riskier than investing in any other EU member states. All EU laws and
regulations are observed and national laws and regulations are based on EU standards.
The country has just as much stability as any other member state. The
political environment is reasonably good and the country welcomes investors -- often
providing more assistance than other member states would.
Q: How much
money should I invest?
A: It depends on your business plans and financial resources. There is no good answer
to that question. It is also true, that many local settlements want to help new
investors either by providing cheap/free land for the production facilities or by offering
tax cuts. Lots of state and EU subsidy opportunities exist.

and get as much assistance as possible. The level of assistance you could get will
depend on face to face negotiations and we are here to help you. Tell us what you want and we will try to get in touch with the right
people.
Q: What are
your hourly rates if we need an interpreter? Do you provide us an invoice?
A: Yes,
we do invoice all such work and usually through our Hungarian company for EU members and
through our US company for non-EU members.
The standard hourly rate for normal business
interpretation is 20.-Euros per hour plus possible expenses, eg. food and drink,
transportation. But we are flexible and don't want to make you any extra expense.
If you have a car, we don't find it necessary to use our own :) Also, within
town we can use our own transportation without any charge.
Q: What are
your rates for translating documents?
A: We
usually base our charges on complexity and length of whatever needs to be translated.
For a standard letter you will have to pay approximately 10.-Euros. For
extensive business documentation -- depending on the difficulty, length and whether
proofreading is needed -- it could start as low as 8.-Euros per standard page (A4, 1 inch
margins, double spaced).
Unfortunately there are situations when "official
translation" is needed. It can be done by only one government appointed
translation center. Their rates can be 3-5 times higher than ours. In case you
start up a company you will have to have all kinds of official documents translated by
that particular translation center, so be sure that you consult us how to reduce the
amount to a minimum!
